Theatre & Media
The theatre guild is committed to add to the creative life at the castle. Demanding plays (even outdoors like Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream) demand hard work and intensive rehearsals. Elocution lessons, workshops and theatre visits support the intensive preparation.

To-Do Guild
Born of the tradition of the Carpenters’ Guild, the “To-Do Guild” shall now put its manual skill to the good of the school. It shall step in as service provider anywhere extra manpower is needed and shall take care of minor repair jobs, among other things.

Photography
The guild is preceded by an introduction to the technical and artistic aspects of analogue photography. There is a workshop on the techniques of the dark room so that all participants shall be able to develop their own paper photographs. The joy of creativity and visual language is supported and promoted in freely chosen projects.

Creative Painting
Creative painting is not about technique. By painting inner pictures, personal processes are discovered and courage, self-confidence and trust in one‘s own power of expression are developed. The artworks can become gifts, a source of power and reflection in day-to-day life, or even a part of exhibitions at the school if desired.

Instrumental Lessons
We basically support individual learning of instruments by recognizing it as a guild. For instruments such as piano, violin or guitar, we have our teachers at the castle; for other instruments and singing, lessons can usually be arranged. The aim for all is to show what each has learnt, and to be involved in certain occasions as a soloist or in an ensemble.

Cooking Club
Not many big kitchens can keep up with the quality of the meals on offer in Neubeuern. This is thanks to the team working around Chef Robert Hechenbichler. He also heads the cooking guild, in which, week after week, delicious meals are prepared for the members themselves or – on special occasions – for a bigger guest circle.

Painting & Drawing
This guild, under art teacher Friedhelm Rüller, is all about developing and enhancing one‘s artistic abilities. Everyone should in time be able to create pictures and sketches from their own imaginations in various techniques (pastels, acrylics, pencil or charcoal).

Pottery / Ceramics
In the ceramics guild, the basic techniques of working with clay are learnt and tried out on shapes of one’s own choosing (e.g. animals, crockery and much more). Many young pupils will find the opportunity to develop their imaginations creatively and simultaneously support social projects by selling their own works of art - as will a number of long-time members,.

World Guild
With this guild for cosmopolitan, dedicated pupils, we plan to help people who are worse off than we are. To do this, we determine the need for aid, collect money and thus support select projects such as the SKM Hospital in Kathmandu (Nepal), godchildren in all parts of the world or the orphanage “Little Smile” in Sri Lanka.
