Schloss Neubeuern is a small, manageable school community in which up to 220 students live and learn. The majority are boarders, but there are also day students coming from the surrounding area. On the following pages we would like to give you your first impression of Schloss Neubeuern.
Of course even the best pictures and text are no substitute for first-hand experience: we therefore warmly invite you to form your own impression of us on site. Visitors are welcome at any time and those who wish to are also very welcome to try out living with us in the castle for a few days. The school day begins for our pupils with a 25-minute period of supervised study in the morning as a verbal preparation for the eight periods of instruction, practice and extra study that follow during the day. The school day finishes at 3.45 p.m. and includes two morning breaks and a 70-minute lunch break with a communal lunch. Many of our day pupils, who account for around a third of the total number of pupils, remain at the school even after the end of the school day to take advantage of the wide range of extra-curricular activities offered. Our boarders complete a one-hour study session in their rooms after dinner and then perhaps take a trip to our cosy “Coffee Corner” or the school fitness studio before retiring to bed. There is no arbitrary separation of boarders from day pupils. We welcome the close relationships and friendships that form between them. Our day pupils are always welcome to join in all the activities taking place at the boarding school, especially at the weekend. |
