Schloss Neubeuern is run by a team of experienced and dedicated specialists, who regard a modern private school as a company operating in the service sector and act accordingly.

Jörg Müller
Foundation Chairman and Headmaster
After completing his studies in English and sports sciences, Jörg Müller began his boarding school career at the LEH Schule Marienau, where he was a tutor and assistant to the directors for nine years, accompanied by his wife Sonja. He then spent time as the headmaster of Mayfield College, a private catholic boarding school for boys in East Sussex, in the United Kingdom. Jörg Müller was appointed Foundation Chairman and Head of the Boarding School at Schloss Neubeuern in the summer of 1997, where he successfully rebuilt the school over a three-year period, working in difficult economic conditions. After almost 15 years of working at boarding schools, he and his wife decided to branch out into the business world, where he spent six years as the director of a consulting firm in the education sector and gained international experience. Jörg and Sonja Müller returned to Schloss Neubeuern to start their second period in office in April 2006. They plan to stay here for many years.

Oliver Dietz
Deputy Headmaster
Born and raised in central Switzerland, Oliver Dietz attended the innovative Immensee Gymnasium school until taking the Matura (university entrance qualification). With several breaks to complete various internships and train to be an officer in the military, he studied economics, law and sociology at the University of St. Gallen during the late 1980s and early 1990s. His wife Beate Dietz-Langer and their two children, Benjamin and Jessica, attended his graduation ceremony in 1993. His family-oriented lifestyle continued after moving to Lower Bavaria in 1994. As a founding member and long-serving chairman of Bavaria’s first Waldkindergarten (outdoor preschool) and, later, of the corresponding state association, he was extremely involved in implementing alternative education concepts on an honorary basis, which ultimately also benefited his youngest son, Joshua. After his wife had completed her studies in September 2000, he abandoned his PhD studies in favour of an educator’s position for a married couple at Neubeuern. The couple not only devoted themselves to supervising altogether a good 35 boarders from this moment onwards, Oliver Dietz was also actively involved in school development, shaping Neubeuern’s future as guild coordinator and as a member of the staff association.
