Activities in the Afternoon

From manual assembly to digital programming, this project sees participants progress through a diverse range of robotics modules that require them to not only work as a team, but also interact with other teams. In addition to building their own robots, they will also explore a variety of mechanical concepts and learn how to optimize software. In particular, they will practice identifying and developing solutions to specific tasks. The project also introduces them to the fantastic worlds of virtual/mixed reality and 3D printing.

This project is ideal for schoolchildren with an interest in Technology, Mathematics or Physics. It involves the use of a variety of types of robot including VEX EDR, LEGO Mindstorms EV3, Sphero, Sphero Ollie, Cagebot and NAO.

You’ll be surprised just how futuristic school can already be – at least at Schloss Neubeuern!

The Summer Camp is a perfect opportunity to gain an insight into the work of a fashion designer.

Summer Campers will have the chance to design a garment of their very own – whether they choose to make it from scratch or retailor an existing piece of clothing using embroidery, sewing, painting, adhesive elements or other creative techniques. Their sense of achievement will be enhanced by the joint selection of a project theme, the preparation of a small collection and the organization of a fashion show that uses music, performance and a carefully planned running order to show off the garments created in their best light. It goes without saying that participants get to keep the results of their work! The project will also provide an introduction to material science, processing techniques and the history of fashion design.

To-Be-in-the-Moment

In our everyday life we rarely act impulsively. This is certainly helpful in our society. On the other hand we put the brakes on our natural impulses that way. And yet it is a great joy to be spontaneous. Theater gives us the protective space to switch off our filters and act impulsively.

Presence

When I have a goal in front of me and do everything possible to reach it, then the audience’s attention is mine. The eyes are the windows to the soul. And the journey is its own reward.

The Workshop

After an short warm-up (body and voice) we work with various games and exercises which are also used by professional actors. We will fix some improvised scenes with the aim of staying spontaneous even in repetition. At the Camp Show we will show your friends and parents the scenes and techniques we have discovered.

The food blogger scene is booming, and we’ve decided to respond to this trend by launching our own food blog presenting recipes created and cooked by Summer Camp participants.

The first step will be to put together a list of tasty, innovative dishes. You might want to suggest something typical to your home country, a firm family favourite or your own signature dish. The most important thing is for the recipe to be original and perhaps have an interesting story behind it. The more creative, the better! The next step will take us to the pupils’ kitchen, where we will film the cooking of the selected recipes. As the camerawork needs to be just as good on the eye as your dishes are on the palate, you’ll first be given some helpful advice on how to set up the camera to make the food look as good as possible. The last step will be to edit the resultant film material to create a cooking tutorial video that will be published along with some attractive recipe photos on our dedicated blog.

The project is naturally also open to participants with no cooking experience at all. After all, wouldn’t it be great to return from our Summer Camp and surprise your family or friends with a self-made dinner? It doesn’t matter if you forget a couple of the steps involved –you can always refer back to the tutorials on our blog!

Golf is a traditional ball sport. The aim is to play a ball from the tee into the hole in as few strokes as possible, in accordance with the official rules of golf, using various golf clubs.

At the castle's summer camp, you will be supervised by a sports instructor from the castle with a golf trainer qualification and a golf professional. As a beginner, we will introduce you to this wonderful sport and, with a little practice, you can even be certified as a golf course professional. This means that you are then entitled to play on a course with the appropriate membership and start with HCP 54.

Advanced players with HCP or even tournament players are encouraged and challenged according to their level.

We train and play on the grounds of the GC Patting-Hochriesblick in beautiful alpine panorama surroundings.
