You won’t have to wait long for company here. Our castle family is divided into different groups, but they are all very close to each other. Whether in the group room, on the castle grounds or in the gym – you will meet your friends in the dining room at the latest. There are plenty of opportunities to get to know each other and share exciting moments. Or quiet ones too. But no matter what you experience in Neubeuern – you experience it together with your friends. This creates our strong bond and connects us for life.

Small groups with a big impact.
Here, everything is organised in small, manageable groups - from the school classes to the boarding school groups. Everyone knows everyone by name. That creates closeness to one another. And familiarity with each other.
Someone is always there for you!
For every 13 or so pupils, there is one mentor who lives with our children and young people and looks after them personally. So there is someone is always there to accompany and support you.
We look out for each other.
With us, everyone is seen and heard. You will always find a door that is open for you. We listen to you carefully and take care of your wishes and needs.

I am Lara-Marlen Happe and my work is focused on supporting you through your difficulties – be it your challenges or your path to new perspectives and solutions. Together we can activate your unique strengths to face difficulties in a powerful and empathetic way. In addition to dealing with acute issues, I also focus on preventative, personal empowerment so that you can go through life with more confidence and joy.
Alliance of trust
You can be sure that I will always observe confidentiality and remain impartial and neutral in my counseling sessions. Psychological counseling is geared entirely to your individual questions and needs. Discussions with third parties will only take place at your express request.

- Psychological counseling for insecurities and crises

"My buddy" is the name of our programme in which older students support the younger ones. Your buddy supports you in your learning and helps you to find your place in the community.

Our mentors and the staff team all pull together. They liaise with each other and work as a team to ensure that you are well looked after around the clock at the boarding school.

Voices about Schloss Neubeuern
Neubeuern was my first boarding school experience. Life in another country can always be difficult, but Neubeuern made it very easy for me. Friends who are like family and always support each other and mentors who look after children like parents. In addition to the boarding school, the school offers us special facilities. The digital classroom made learning a lot easier for me. The school has also supported me in realising my dreams and I can say that Schloss Neubeuern will have a big impact on my future.
Schloss Neubeuern is a very special workplace for me, which I have learnt to appreciate over the years. The internationality of the students and the many opportunities to work there and help shape everyday life inspire me.
At Schloss Neubeuern, I can support children and young people on their path to adulthood through my degree in social pedagogy and also as a person, and help to ensure that the pupils take a good path later on. I see this as an essential task that I enjoy.
The cultural, diverse programmes and activities with the pupils require creativity and empathy. Every day is exciting and full of experiences, both indoors and outdoors. This suits my life, as I like to be on the move a lot. In this way, I can bring in my sporting hobbies, such as breakdancing, and pass on my skills.

The community at our school is exceptional. There is always a great atmosphere among the teaching staff and the team spirit contributes significantly to our well-being. I really enjoy working with the pupils in the small classes. Thanks to our excellent digital equipment, I can organise lessons in an enriching and innovative way and tailor them to the needs of the students. As sixth form coordinator, I am able to take on responsibility at an early stage and appreciate the opportunity to contribute my own ideas and develop personally. In addition, the view of the beautiful Alpine landscape is simply fantastic, because working where others go on holiday is something very special.
As a mentor, I enjoy the privilege of being able to live here in the castle with my family. The wonderful view from the castle inspires me every day. The friendly colleagues, the relationships with the children and young people and the sense of community give me strength and warmth. It’s a wonderful feeling to have accompanied a child or young person with my heart and perhaps made a difference in their life. That’s why I love my work and my home here at Schloss Neubeuern!
