Together for courageous hearts

A successful event organised by the P-Seminar class 11
On the evening of 3 May 2025, the charity concert “Together for brave hearts” took place at Neubeuern Castle in aid of the Munich Outpatient Children’s Hospice – Centre South East Upper Bavaria / Rosenheim. The event was organised by the students of the music project seminar under the direction of our music teacher Christina Rothmayer. The event was much more than a musical event, it was an impressive interplay of artistic expression and social commitment.

The concert was opened by the castle ensemble with the tango Adios Nonino by Astor Piazzolla – a fiery and lively start by the ensemble, which is also directed by Christina Rothmayer and consists of pupils, mentors and teachers. After the welcoming address by the likeable presenters Alisha and Noa, the audience was shown a moving image film explaining the purpose of the evening: to support the work of the children’s hospice with seriously ill children and their families.
Musically, the first part of the evening offered a remarkable range. L.O.V.E. inspired with rhythmic lightness and the tangible joy of the musicians. The soulful intermezzo Souvenir de Vienne for violin and piano and the melancholy melody of Laura were interpreted with great empathy. The jazz improvisation Robot showed the creative versatility of the musicians.
After a refreshing break at the buffet with sweet and savoury delicacies and the opportunity to donate, the second part of the concert followed with a real highlight: jazz pianist Abdullah Ibrahim, star guest of the evening, captivated the audience with his virtuoso playing, despite his advanced age. Estrellita, another piece for violin and piano, and the Disney track Almost There brought the concert to a soulful and optimistic close.

The event was a complete success in every respect: musically high-quality, emotionally moving and socially significant. It was an impressive demonstration of how music can connect people and give them hope. A big thank you to all the participants and organisers for this special evening. Special thanks also go to all the guests and generous donors. We will find out in a few weeks whether the target of 2,500 euros in donations for the Rosenheim Outpatient Children’s Hospice has been reached.
