Rush to our castle.

On 15 October 2024, the Economic Forum at Schloss Neubeuern entered its second round and, with the visit of its first guest speaker Uli Hoeneß, definitely landed in the premier league for entertaining and unforgettable event experiences.

“Experience business live” – true to this motto, our students experienced the former FC Bayern manager up close. In a stage talk with presenter Markus Sieger, he spoke about his experiences on the subject of “Business, entrepreneurship and the power of responsibility”. They listened with great appreciation to the words of Uli Hoeneß, who, despite his elevated position in the football business, impressed them greatly with his authentic and honest words: “Don’t stoop to the top and never step down!” – This was the outstanding message from Uli Hoeneß, who epitomises the success of FC Bayern like no other, to the young people in the hall.
However, Uli Hoeneß spoke to the 250 or so guests not so much about current events at FC Bayern, but rather about his school days, his upbringing, his first sales successes as a pupil at the school newspaper and, of course, the successes and setbacks of his long management career. A few anecdotes, which gave a lot of insight into Uli Hoeneß’ dealings with “valued friends and less valued adversaries”, made the audience laugh and emphasised the great importance Uli Hoeneß attaches to direct and human contact. Open-minded, self-determined and respectful in our dealings with one another – values in which Uli Hoeneß’s attitude coincides with that of our traditional boarding school.

Some pupils from the TickTock Guild had already taken part in the press conference prior to the event. Courageously and confidently, they put their questions to Uli Hoeneß, who was more than happy to answer them.
An impressive event design with equally impressive catering once again provided the perfect setting for this special round of talks, which triggered a pleasing “rush to the castle”. Uli Hoeneß was very impressed by the efforts of the Neubeuern Castle student fire brigade, who managed the arrival of the guests effortlessly – which is why he was happy to allow them to take a photo together.
