At Schloss Neubeuern Boarding School, we combine academic education with the targeted development of individual talents and passions. Through our partnership with the Paul Riding Centre and the Ebbs Foal Farm, we offer pupils the opportunity to integrate equestrian sports firmly into their daily school and boarding life.
Whether it’s a first experience in the saddle, regular training or competitive riding – every rider will find the right environment here. It’s not just about sporting development, but also about qualities that are important far beyond the world of equestrian sport: a sense of responsibility, discipline, perseverance and self-organisation.

Situated in the heart of the Bavarian Alpine foothills, Schloss Neubeuern offers the ideal setting for combining education with equestrian sports. The Paul riding centre and the Ebbs foal farm provide a professional environment for this and
enable personalised support across a range of ability levels.
Together with experienced trainers, you can develop your riding skills in a targeted manner whilst pursuing a challenging academic programme.

Join our riding club!
Discover and experience. Join our riding club for beginners and leisure riders at the Fohlenhof in Ebbs. This traditional Haflinger stud farm in Tyrol employs the largest number of professionally trained riding and driving instructors in the whole of Western Austria.
Look forward to your horse to look after!
Responsibility and personal development. Look after a horse on a care scheme for experienced riders who don’t own a horse. The Paul riding centre is very close to the boarding school, so you can walk there to look after your horse as often as your schedule allows.

Performance & personalised training. We offer ambitious riders and competitive athletes the opportunity to bring their own horse to Neubeuern. This means you not only have your horse close by, but can also train with it under professional guidance.

“For me, there has never been anything other than horses and riding.”
My name is Lena Paul, I’m 26 years old and I live at my parents’ riding centre in Neubeuern, where I also grew up. My riding career began even before I could walk, when my grandad let me ride along on the front of his show jumpers. On my third birthday, I got my first pony, “Maxl”, a Mini Shetland pony, followed by my pony “Weibi”, a white pony with black spots, with whom I had many important and formative experiences.
My career in equestrian sport
In 2009, I was selected for the Upper Bavarian Pony Squad and, from 2011, trained my four-year-old pony mare “Pippilotta” myself up to S* level.
In 2016, I finally acquired my current successful horse “Chopard”, with whom I share a special and successful bond.

Our riding facility
As free time is often in short supply, and we believe that every owner should be able to enjoy their time with their horse to the fullest, we offer a very comprehensive service at our riding centre, which we can tailor entirely to the individual needs of our riders:

Horses boarded with us are looked after with the utmost care. With sound practical and specialist knowledge, we can provide our boarders with expert advice and support.
… with great attention
Should any abnormalities arise, we will inform you immediately. We will contact the vet and provide initial treatment. We also carry out regular worming treatments on all horses and are happy to assist you with administering medication.
… in the stable and with feeding
Feeding takes place three times a day and we personally ensure that every horse receives the individually tailored feed it needs. This includes high-quality concentrated feed, freshly rolled oats, muesli, hay and straw, as well as haylage in the morning. With feed from our own production!
… with our additional services
For a flat fee, depending on the weather, the horses can be taken out to pasture, paddocks or sand paddocks from Monday to Saturday.
Our stables
In our modern stables, we offer various boarding options, such as stables with paddocks, windowed stables and very bright, well-ventilated indoor stables.

School with horses
Horse riding and spending time with horses teach young people many things that are important for later life. School life is generally very demanding, and living in a community requires you to follow many important rules. You will see how much joy it brings to be in close contact with a horse and to experience what a good ‘teacher’ it can be for you.

Views on equestrian sport
I take great pleasure in accompanying young people and riding enthusiasts on their equestrian journey, supporting them individually and working with them to develop confidence, skill and enjoyment in handling horses.
In my time at Schloss Neubeuern so far, I have learnt a lot from and about people. One of the most important things I have learnt is that people achieve more together than alone and can therefore overcome difficult situations. Everyone needs good friends and allies to be happy, courageous and strong. Our students find friends and allies for life at Schloss Neubeuern – something I particularly realise at our alumni reunions. Schloss Neubeuern is not just a school where you spend a few years and graduate, but a place you can return to again and again throughout your life. Together with my team, I work every day to lay the foundations for our children and young people for their future lives and to mould them with the right values and attitudes.
