Education

For all winter sports enthusiasts from
Year 5 to Year 13

Thanks to its central location in the Alpine foothills, our school is just a short distance from numerous ski resorts in Bavaria, Tyrol and the Salzburg region. This means our pupils generally get to enjoy plenty of action and fun in the snow.

Our ski development programme allows you to combine your passion for skiing with your school life and to train specifically both during the winter season and in preparation for it during the summer months. You can join us from Year 5 onwards. The ski programme is tailored to your individual needs and is aimed at beginners as well as advanced and competitive skiers.
With a wide range of skiing activities on offer, you’ll get to enjoy plenty of nature, exercise and fun with your friends in the snow.

  • You will receive professional support in all three performance groups.

We also offer you:

  • Technical training
  • Video analysis
  • Ski races and internal competitions
  • Ski camps and training camps
  • Endurance training
  • Ski gymnastics
  • ‘Ski Olympics’ – an annual competition against other boarding schools

Under the patronage of the German Ski Association

Its close proximity to the Alps makes Schloss Neubeuern the ideal choice for establishing itself as a ski boarding school in Bavaria. It was equally natural to enter into a partnership with the German Ski Association, which provides our pupils with professional support through a wide range of activities. We are delighted with this partnership, which has resulted in our boarding school being awarded an exclusive certificate.

Off-snow activities in autumn, summer and spring
The DSV is active here even outside the winter sports season. Using the ‘DSV on tour’ mobile unit, professional coaches help people prepare for the winter season – for example, with inline skates or using a snow mat.

Ready for school, sport and life with the DSV’s “Mental Stark!” programme
This programme promotes mental resilience as a key skill for the future in children’s and youth sport. To this end, workshops on mental resilience are held. The aim is to use sport to help build self-confidence, concentration and motivation, foster team spirit, and teach young people how to cope with defeat.

Lectures, events and figures from the world of skiing
Neubeuern Castle has long since established itself as a meeting place and a driving force in the field of education. The figures from the world of skiing who visit us for events and talks through our partnership with the DSV are also keen to combine education, physical activity and enthusiasm. It’s a fantastic opportunity to be part of it!

Membership of TSV Neubeuern

For the town of Neubeuern, situated in the immediate vicinity of the Alpine foothills, local winter sports facilities are a must. You too can join the TSV Neubeuern Ski Club and take part in ski weekends, ski lessons and ski races.

International Highlights

Night skiing in Söll

As soon as winter is just around the corner, all the pupils look forward to this special day out. Armed with packed lunches, they set off for the nearby Söll ski resort to go tobogganing, skiing and snowboarding. You’ll enjoy around three hours of great fun and adventure before heading home for a short journey, after which you can sink into your bed, exhausted but happy.

Ski camp

From 2027 onwards, a joint skiing camp will be held every year during the carnival holidays, involving around 10–15 pupils. Anyone who is interested and has time to spare during this special week of the holidays is welcome to sign up. Together with a team of three mentors, you’ll be able to go skiing every day at the camp and train under their guidance. A fantastic shared experience!

Winter Olympics

Every February, we take part in an exciting competition against other Bavarian boarding schools. It’s not just about individual results, with medals, trophies and an awards ceremony; above all, it’s about the boarding school’s overall victory. We’re really looking forward to you doing your very best to help us achieve this.

Winter sports week

Your kick-off to the winter season! For all participants in the ski development programme, the start of the season is marked by a whole week dedicated to skiing: ski clothing and equipment are bought or hired, everything is tried on, important information is shared and, of course, there’s the first trip to the ski resort. From now on, every opportunity to ski will be seized!

Ski fitness

Endurance, fitness, muscle strength and flexibility are the key requirements for a successful skiing experience. In our versatile sports hall, we run targeted training sessions all year round to ensure you’re fully prepared for the slopes. You can sign up for these courses too and get yourself in top shape through the energy of group training.

Tobogganing

Winter sports have much more to offer than just skiing and snowboarding. That’s why trips to ski resorts with toboggan runs are particularly good fun. This means that all snow enthusiasts can join in, even those who can’t ski or don’t have the right equipment. You can go tobogganing too – all it takes is a bit of courage. It’s great fun, that’s for sure!

Personality

At Schloss Neubeuern, we see school as a living environment: a place where young people learn, live and grow – whether as boarders or as part of the day school. Our school community is characterised by trust, mutual responsibility and a shared commitment to nurturing young personalities. In a changing world, guidance, independence and the courage to take on responsibility are essential. As a learning and living community, we create spaces for this – in the classroom, in the boarding school corridors and in our shared daily life.

We look forward to getting to know you and your parents.
