+ Plus potential development + Plus personal development + Plus research & discovery
What is Plus-STEM actually?
- STEM stands for science (natural sciences), technology, engineering (computer science), and mathematics – and is the proverbial symbiosis of all four areas.
- Plus-STEM discovers and promotes the special talents of pupils (from year 10) – with lots of fun and experimentation: for example, participation in competitions such as “Jugend forscht”.
- Plus-STEM helps you as a pupil to develop your interests & talents.
- Plus-STEM involves learning, researching and experimenting in small groups – so you can concentrate much better on subjects such as physics, computer science and chemistry.
- In the Plus-STEM-programme, you are among like-minded people who are enthusiastic about STEM subjects – this enthusiasm is contagious.
- Plus-STEM starts from Year 10 and ends with the Abitur. However, you can apply for it as early as the 9th grade.
- Your parents can apply for full funding for our school and boarding school fees (including the Plus-STEM-programme) under the Federal Government’s Bafög programme.
You were just what we still missing!
Apply to the plus-MINT association.
Young people and children are full of talent – including in the fields of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology (STEM), and the MINT-Talent Promotion Association promotes very special talents at selected plus-MINT boarding schools.
Schloss Neubeuern is one of five plus-MINT boarding schools in Germany. Following the example of the German Football Association’s successful talent promotion program, the Verein zur MINT-Talentförderung e. V. offers a counterpart for particularly talented pupils in the subjects of math, computer science, biology, chemistry, physics and technology – the plus-MINT talent promotion program. The most talented STEM students in Germany are also trained at the plus-MINT performance center in Schloss Neubeuern. The reason for this is that boarding schools offer the high quality school infrastructure required for the plus-MINT program, because in addition to subject content, personality and character development are of great importance in boarding schools and students have plenty of time to develop their talents there.
By bringing together top talents from all over Germany in the plus-MINT performance centers, a completely new dynamic is created in these plus-MINT boarding schools and plus-MINT groups. The plus-MINT talent development program at Schloss Neubeuern is a four-year educational program leading up to the Abitur, which is significantly more demanding than the standard Abitur. It is organized together with research institutions, universities and companies. In the process, young people develop their personalities and receive particularly sustainable and continuous support for their outstanding STEM talents.
The aim of the plus-MINT program is to bring together the most gifted talents as a group and set new quality standards in STEM talent development.
