Broadening the horizon
Back in 1963, the construction of the new Trüperhaus, then affectionately known as the “Little Home”, signalled an important step into a new future. The demand for holistic educational facilities was also high at this time. Many new pupils were accepted and, for the first time, the entire school community was able to live and learn at Schloss Neubeuern. The long journey from Hinterhör Estate to the castle was a beautiful one – but it was finally history!
Today, around sixty years later, the “Little Home”, which was renamed the “Trüper House” in honour of the then Chairman of the Foundation, Dr Hellmut Trüper, is getting on in years and urgently needs to be renovated to provide the young people with modern accommodation.
Innovative remodelling project
The “new Trüperhaus” will not only be a modern residential building – it will also become an interactive model house. Solar energy supplies the building, which has been renovated using innovative building materials, with advanced energy. The creative design concept offers plenty of space and open areas for school projects and individual curiosity. A makerspace in the basement allows young people to build, design or try things out for themselves.
The new Trüperhaus
In a unique feat of strength, the foundation stone is now to be laid for an innovative remodelling project, “The new Trüperhaus”. Living and learning will be combined in a special way here. With the aim of offering our pupils even more opportunities to enrich their own knowledge through “self-experience” in a sustainable way and to be able to organise their everyday school life in a self-determined way.
It is only with your support that the “new Trüperhaus” can be built to enable pupils from all over the world to live in modern rooms with a contemporary design. At the same time, we are creating the framework for many creative plans for the future – a really good start to the next century of our school.
