School starts in 2025/26
14.09.2025
After the well-deserved holiday period, during which our castle was quietly enthroned on its rock, it was gradually time for life to return in September. The joy of seeing many new colleagues again was great and the arrival of our fifty new students was simply overwhelming.
The works outing with all the new teachers and mentors gave us staff plenty of reason to look forward to a successful and enjoyable 2025/26 school year.
On Friday 12 September, we took the bus to Schliersee and spent a fun afternoon together at the Wasmeier Museum. Divided into four smaller groups, we enjoyed a very harmonious time together. In the evening, many more colleagues joined us for dinner at the Alpenrose restaurant on the Samerberg. There was not only a particularly good meal, but also many interesting conversations to get to know each other. All in all, it was a really nice day, and everyone agreed that the only thing missing for our happiness was our students – and they did turn up …
Schloss Neubeuern grab bag
On Sunday afternoon, everything was decorated and prepared to welcome the new family members. Some classmates had already travelled to the school as “buddies” to make it as easy as possible for the newcomers to join the boarding school community. At around 1.00 pm, they “streamed” into the entrance hall together with their parents and siblings, where they were greeted with a sweet school bag. The buddies explained the way to their room and answered the most important questions.
As an introduction to the most important topics, a reception was held in the ballroom, where Elisabeth Feigenberg also played a song on her violin. And as preordained, the rain clouds parted at the end of the reception and the sun shone on the big moment, outside at the Jüngling, when all the students rang in their time at Schloss Neubeuern with a pledge of values. This moment is always very emotional and meaningful – after all, it marks the beginning of an important stage in the young people’s lives and it is nice to honour this accordingly. The first contacts were already made during the ceremony and friendships were forged – that happens quickly in our family castle community. So the parents handed their protégés over to their mentors and classmates and left without them – but certainly with a good feeling, because the afternoon was really happy and enjoyable.
Now we are looking forward to an exciting and varied school year with many wonderful moments. Many activities have already been planned – but life in our community is a real grab bag that everyone helps to shape anew every day.

Nice surprise
New colleagues, new pupils – an exciting start to the new school year. To welcome them, classmates handed out sweet school bags and acted as buddies for the newcomers. After the reception in the ballroom, the new pupils made their way to the south terrace to the Jüngling, where they solemnly took their vows and rang the bell to usher in their time at Neubeuern Castle.
