Christopher van Laak Class 10 supports the Prien food bank
15-year-old Christopher collects 2,500 euros for the Priener Tafel – the fundraising campaign at EDEKA Summerer was once again a great success
With impressive commitment, 15-year-old pupil Christopher van Laak from the Schloss Neubeuern school has organised a major fundraising campaign for the Priener Tafel food bank for the second time. At EDEKA Summerer in Rimsting, he collected both money and donations in kind as part of his school social project – this time a total of around 2,500 euros was collected.
Christopher had already launched the same campaign last year. Together with the current donations, the total amount has now risen to an impressive 5,000 euros, all of which will go to the food bank in Prien.
Visitors to the EDEKA supermarket were extremely generous. Many donated food and toiletries, while others supported the project with monetary donations. Christopher was on site throughout the entire campaign, providing information about the work of the food bank and motivating customers to make a contribution themselves.
“I’m delighted that so many people got involved again. The food bank needs all the support it can get – and I wanted to help where I could,” explained the young organiser after the collection had finished. The store manager praised his exceptional commitment and perseverance and emphasised how much he was already looking forward to continuing next year.
The Priener Tafel is grateful for another successful initiative. The growing need for support makes such campaigns particularly valuable.
With his commitment, 15-year-old Christopher proves how much impact a single person can achieve through initiative and a sense of responsibility – a role model for many. <p
