Winter Olympics 2025
13.02.2025
On 13 February 2025, our school took part in the Winter Olympics and competed against Landheim Ammersee and Schule Schloss Stein. After arriving at the sunny Sudelfeld ski resort, the ski passes and start numbers were handed out. Then it was off to the piste to warm up before the first starters in the youngest age group took to the slopes at 10.30 am.
The performances of Mathilde Pallaver and Alice Lorey were particularly outstanding. Mathilde secured first place in age group I (born 2008 and older) with an impressive time of 27.22 seconds, making her the fastest girl in the entire Olympics. Alice also put in a strong performance and took second place in age group II (born 2009/2010).
In the overall standings, Schloss Neubeuern came third – just one point behind Schloss Stein. The overall victory went to Landheim Ammersee. A total of 94 participants took part, 77 of whom were categorised. Our school first aid team was also on site and ready to help in an emergency – fortunately there were no major injuries.
After a joint lunch with pizza, the award ceremony took place. The top three in each age group were awarded medals and finally it was announced which school would take home the trophy. Afterwards, everyone returned to Schloss Neubeuern with many new experiences.
