Sustainability begins in the heart of the entrepreneur.

A question of attitude – the quality of a brand is significantly characterised by how it meets the requirements of sustainable corporate management. And Katharina Roehrig, Managing Director Corporate Communications and Sustainability at the Melitta Group, is convinced that this must be consistently understood and implemented within the company itself.Leading the future. Living responsibility. Shaping transformation This was the motto of Katharina Roehrig’s presentation, in which she made a very realistic and passionate appeal to all entrepreneurs and future young entrepreneurs in the room. With her very authentic and likeable charisma, she impressed all those present with her remarks on the sustainability strategies of the Melitta Group and helped the business forum in the 2024/25 school year to a brilliant conclusion.

As Managing Director, Katharina Roehrig is successfully responsible for Corporate Communication and Sustainability at the Melitta Group. She stands for value-orientated corporate management and sustainable transformation – and shows how a traditional company can be transformed into a sustainable, globally active brand. You can clearly sense the personal passion with which she is committed to her projects and wants to reach the hearts of other entrepreneurs with her words. She is convinced that in today’s world, companies must act holistically and sustainably – regardless of the industry. As a manager, Katharina Roehrig has a special ability to motivate and motivate teams and individuals. Her lecture in the ballroom of the Schloss Neubeuerns boarding school was therefore perfectly placed, as it is precisely at our school that students prepare for a management position in companies in a very realistic and practical way.

Chocolate makes you happy.
At Schloss Neubeuern, preparation for entrepreneurship begins in the lower school. The Year 7 project seminar therefore dropped a real “bombshell” at the start of the evening. They boldly and confidently presented their teamwork and explained their business idea of a “chocolate bomb”, which has to be melted into cocoa in hot milk so that it turns into a “full flavour explosion” thanks to small pieces of marshmallow. After the presentation, they invited all guests to their sales stand. The audience was delighted and rewarded the young team by selling out all the chocolate bombs.

Many beaming faces could be seen that evening. Valentina Höllmeier, who hosted the business forum, got top expert Katerina in the mood for the press conference to showcase the curiosity and determination of Neubeuern’s pupils. Together with her fellow pupils from the P-Seminar and the TickTock Guild, this round was already a highlight of the last business forum of the school year.
